The Impaired Driving Court program provides case management, monitoring, and programming to individuals as a condition of probation for 3rd or 4th Impaired Driving charges including Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), Prohibited Alcohol Concentration (PAC), and RCS offenses. Individuals considered for this program are assessed as having a high drug or alcohol treatment need as well as being moderate or high risk for re-offense. The program can range from 12 to 18 months based on participant progress and completion of conditions designed to reduce recidivism and establish new patterns of behavior. Individuals that successfully complete this program will see significantly reduced jail time.

The Drug Treatment Court program provides case management, monitoring, and programming to individuals who are assessed as moderate- or high-risk and high need as it relates to their substance use. This determination is made using a risk and needs assessment. The program can range from 12 to 18 months based on participant progress and completion of conditions designed to reduce recidivism and establish new patterns of behavior. Individuals entering the treatment court due so as post-plea/post-conviction through a deferred sentencing agreement, being placed on probation for a lessor/separate case. Individuals successfully completing the program may have charges dismissed, reduced, or have a diminished sentence.

The Treatment Alternatives Program is an early intervention program that provides case management, monitoring, and programming to individuals who are assessed as low to medium risk and high need as it relates to their substance use. This determination is made using a risk and needs assessment. The program can range from 6 months to 24 months based on participant progress and completion of conditions designed to reduce recidivism and establish new patterns of behavior. Individuals enter the TAP program through a Deferred Prosecution Agreement. Individuals successfully completing the program may have charges dismissed or reduced.

When is Treatment Court held?

Drug Treatment Court (DTC) meets on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. in Branch 3

Impaired Driving Court (IDC) meets on Thursdays at 3:15 p.m. and Fridays at 8:15 a.m. in Branch 2
